Context
Mon-AutoEntreprise.fr helps French auto-entrepreneurs handle their accounting on their own. By the time I left, tens of thousands of invoices had gone through it.
When I joined, the codebase was showing its age. People relied on the product every day, so rewriting it from scratch was never an option. It had to get better piece by piece, while it kept running.
Changes
We were a small team, so I ended up touching a bit of everything:
- Product features and REST APIs on the MERN stack.
- Payments with Stripe.
- Banking and electronic invoicing integrations.
- CI/CD, Docker and the Linux servers it all runs on.
- Security testing.
- A Node 8 → 23 migration, done without stopping the product.
Result
I stayed almost four years. In 2026 Mon-AutoEntreprise.fr joined Indy, and I moved with the product to the Indy team.
